On April 26, 2025, the Songming Study and Research Town in Hezheng County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province officially started operation. As a research and study base integrating popular science practice education, practical training teaching and natural labor experience, Songming Research and Study Town covers an area of 600 mu and has a construction area of 80,000 square meters. It can accommodate more than 1,500 students to carry out research and study practice activities at the same time. It is the largest and most comprehensive research and study base in Linxia Prefecture and even Gansu Province in terms of scale and variety. It is understood that Songming Research and Study Town is 20 kilometers away from Hezheng County, 40 kilometers from Linxia City, and 120 kilometers from Lanzhou City. It is surrounded by three 4A-level research zones and enjoys a superior geographical location. The base includes the Wenyue Aerospace Technology Research and Study Center, the Youth National Defense Education Center, the Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Research and Study Center, the Agricultural Science and Technology Research and Study Center, and the Huaer Research and Study Center. It can carry out industrial outdoor emergency training, national defense outdoor military experience, youth military expansion training, agricultural outdoor farming experience, etc.
he National Defense Education Center of Songming Research and Study Base is undertaken by Jiangsu Boren Culture and Technology Co., Ltd. for the full-cycle overall creative planning, scheme deepening, technology integration and project implementation, completing the full-process closed-loop delivery from concept design to actual operation. Among them, in order to accurately reproduce the historical scene of the 537 Highland Defense Battle during the Korean War, Borin Culture adopted its independently developed XD cinema system, selecting laser projectors and advanced infrared sensor tracking technology to create an immersive interactive experience. The self-developed dynamic platform can respond to displacement instructions in milliseconds, accurately simulate battlefield physical feedback such as artillery fire impact and position vibration, support multi-person synchronous combat and real-time sharing of mission points. Visitors will transform into machine gunners of the Chinese People's Volunteers, participating in combat and repelling the enemy through shooting devices. They will deeply experience the unyielding and resolute will of the Chinese People's Volunteers in defending the 537 Highland, and understand the steel oath of "defending the country and safeguarding the homeland" in the hail of bullets. Achieve the goal of national defense education that "historical scenes can be touched, tactical thinking can be shaped, and the spirit of defending the country can be felt".
